This looks extremely similar to Black and White 2 somehow.
But it's not bad at all. I would use this even on a normal laptop/desktop. The concept is quite nice and is also one of the very few that actually take some completely new approach and not just modify old concepts (which is good as well).

I think I guess what will be Microsoft's response to beryl, compiz and compcomm...
Hm... Still that looks like it has to be a separate program, like a kdesktop replacement ot what's it called in gnome. Hope someone will start doing the linux coding of this soon. =)

I think that could be done in compiz/beryl with gnome/kde.
Gnome, for example, just need nautilus and gnome-panel replacement for doing this, and, of course, new window manager :)

Btw, weve all heard of it but CompComm is a window manager and does not control desktop icons

Ditto that.
If you want to throw icons arround or have them in suspended animation on the screen,
get kiba-dock, which works in CompComm.

Yeah, Compiz is a window manager, and it is great ))
But why we can't have 3d desktop with compiz as window manager with integration between them (desktop and compiz)? ))

this 3D desktop is actually, in my opinion, a horrible idea. I like using my computer and how I can organize my files, as opposed to the stacks of unidentified papers and stuff piling up on my actual desk. The last thing I need is the same kind of mess on my virtual desk.

Excellent point.
