I'm trying to run beryl and it doesn't work for anyone other than root (and even as root it works for 10 minutes then locks up X). When I run beryl as a normal user I get this:

Can anyone tell me what's wrong? I followed the instructions on the wiki and did everything as I have in the past. I don't understand what that says to know what's wrong. It doesn't really say the word error or anything like it...

Could it be a problem with the compile of the rpms? Should I compile manually? I usually compile from the svn sources but those have moved to some odd system I don't know much about. Do the sources now have the makeall script from the svn? I'm not at my computer at home or I'd just do it.

Ok, now that I've been home I have gone through and starting compiling things and testing to see what works. Beryl 1.99.2 works wonderfully but anything above that crashes when I try to load it. What things were changed that could be causing this since that release?

i don't believe there were any feature changes
i think it was just internal code type changes

Whatever it is, I hope it gets fixed. For the few seconds that I was able to run 2.0, it was awesome! I love the new effects and all the changes that have been made! I just wish I could use them. haha
