This is a very useful plugin which allows you to store the positions, opacity, brightness and saturation of individual windows.

This is notable because it is used for the widget plugin and also it allows compiz effects to be used as screensavers.

The configuration is done like this

w:Kopete:80

This type of configuration is becoming fairly common in some of the third party plugins, it may be worth putting together a proposal for some more advanced datatypes for the options.

Basically to have xscreensaver working properly with compiz effects we need to make the default screensaver to be transparent rather than black, then we start whichever compiz effect. If you do not have state enabled then the screen will just go black.
