Hi,
I've installed Ubuntu Feisty and then installed Beryl on top of that (from SVN)
After a few days of work, suddenly all desktop files have disappeard. They still exists of course, but the i can't see them on the screen.
Also, right click is also not working on the screen.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,

are you using KDE?
the best way to get a response is to follow the guidelines
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=102 (http://forums.opencompositing.org/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=102)
and have a little patience
if you are using kde
make sure you didn't turn off the Icons and Desktop program behavior
in Control Panel go to
Desktop --> Behavior --> Show Icons on Desktop "check"
Desktop --> Behavior --> Allow programs in desktop window "check"

Since you mentioned "Ubuntu Feisty", I'm guessing that you are probably using the default GNOME environment.
The file manager program, Nautilus, is responsible for drawing those icons, as well as providing the menu that appears when you right-click on the desktop. It sounds to me like that program might have crashed, taking the icons with it.
Perhaps you could try running nautilus, and see if that automatically restores the desktop?
