I have to say I'm a complete newbie to beryl. Just installed xgl, beryl, emerald on my gentoo last night and have been playing with it since. It works generally the way I want it to, but I'm a little lost on the window snapping behavior. As a kde user I'm quite happy with how kwin handles it, which is just snap within a certain distance, all windows stick to each other.
In beryl I have similar behavior with Default Snapping On. Basically I like all my windows to stick together without any spaces in between, kwin also does snapping on resize which is great. But beryl does this strange thing sometimes, when I maximize firefox (which currently sits in a hole tucked in between konqueror on the left and kopete on the top), and restore its size, it goes back into its place, but continues to sort of twitch as if it can't figure out how to snap or something. This is pretty odd behavior, what's happening here?
