Hi guys, I upgraded to Ubuntu Feisty the other day and have just started using Beryl after seeing videos of what it could do on youTube, and so far almost everything is going well...

The only problems are that the blur plugin doesn't work at all, I just get a mess behind anything that's supposed to blur. I've searched the net and found other people with this problem but so far no fixes. Some people have mentioned that it's probably due to my gfx card not supporting pixel shaders, but if that's the case then the water plugin shouldn't work either (for me it works beautifully).

Also, video playback works, but not with the Beryl plugins, such as the cube, scale, taskbar previews or moving wobbly windows. In each of these cases the video area appears to be a sort of gap through which you can see the movie playing - but if you move the window the video doesn't move. If you guys need clarification on what that actually looks like I'll try and do a screen capture.

Anyone got any ideas on either of these issues? As far as I can tell they're the only problems with the whole of Beryl on my machine.

Thanks in advance guys

[Edit]: Forgot my 'ware - I'm running Ubuntu 7.04, my pc is an Athlon XP 2700+, Radeon 9600xt

Ok, video works now that I've switched to MPlayer instead of Totem. Still no luck with the blur plugin tho...
