This is a minor point, but I can't find any other posts on this.
Beryl seems to make many of my screensavers crash or slow to a crawl. The odd thing is, the OpenGL screensavers seem to be unfazed. The ones that seem to crash or slow down are more basic ones.
For example, the zoom screen savers lock up, and I don't think they use OpenGL. Screensavers like Skyrockets, which clearly use OpenGL, work just fine.
Probably won't see a fix for this, but it's worth throwing out there. I'm running Ubuntu 7.04 with the proprietary ATI drivers using Beryl 0.2.0, but this happened with Beryl 0.1.x as well.
