Hello,
I install compiz with apt-get on Ubuntu 6.10 but I have problem with mostly all windows. When I enable compiz, I get window like http://icex.si.cx/~icex/Screenshot.png. When compiz is disabled window change to http://icex.si.cx/~icex/Screenshot-1.png, and if I enable it again I get http://icex.si.cx/~icex/Screenshot-2.png. Is there a setting which I setted wrong?
My xorg.file: http://icex.si.cx/~icex/xorg.conf
My graphics: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 03)
Thanks in advanced, Jernej

try adding
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
to your Screen section after Default depth.
Had the same issue but after I tweaked a little, it went away.
Resizing the window also helped.

This doesn't do the trick, but resizing windows does :D But there are some windows that I can't resize :( Any other suggestions?
Thanx

Can you please try to describe your problem with few words? I don't really know where your problem is ... Are the window contents missing? Because it looks like compiz is up and running ...

Yes, compiz is up and it is running and windows content is missing but not on all windows. Also i can not input anything to text boxes.

You can but it doesn't update the window. try typing and then resizing the window. If it helps, here's my xorg.conf http://hendrik.kaju.pri.ee/xorg.conf.

Open System->Preferences->Session and add 'compiz-tray-icon' to startup programs.

Open System->Preferences->Session and add 'compiz-tray-icon' to startup programs.
I did this, but does anyone else have trouble with the entry disappearing after opening the Preferences for Compiz? I click the icon, and choose preferences, then for some reason 'compiz-tray-icon' is suddenly gone from my startup programs. Makes no sense.

Yep, same here. Add two entries of 'compiz-tray-icon'. Fixed it for me. One of them disappears but the other remains so compiz starts automatically.
