View Full Version : How do I change the titlebar button layout?

Ok, I just installed Compiz on my Debian Testing (Etch) laptop, and everything seems to be working great only I can't seem to firgure out how to change the button layout on the titlebar.

I run KDE and I normally have the close button shifted over to the left hand side, but when I run compiz, it shifts it back to the right. This is driving me nuts because I love the eye-candy and I don't want to live without Expose.

Anyways, I thought I understood that the gtk-window-decorator used Metacity settings, so I installed gconf-editor to switch them around. I set this:

/apps/metacity/general/button_layout = close:menu,minimize,maximize

But nothing happened. I know the settings for changing the titlebar button layout have to be somewhere accessible and I'll probably kick myself when I find them, but I can't seem to locate them at the moment. Could someone please let me know how I go about doing this?

Thanks!
