For those of you who do not know, transparent cube just (finally) hit the git repo. Thanks to everyone involved.
It is NOT enabled by default, to activate it set the cube/screen0/active_opacity and inactive_opacity to the opacity you want (0-100)

Yes, big thanks to roico and onestone :)

Sidenote: It's not enabled by default - I chose to disable it by default for speed reasons ;)

Sorry that was a typo, Ive corrected it now.
BTW - It seems to break cube's drawing of the background (ie without a desktop window). Does anyone else see that?

@mikedee: the background painting system has to be improved. We need something like BackgroundPaintAttribs to also allow transparency if another plugin is painting the background.
There is also a new demo plugin that shows how to render inside of the cube.

I can't reproduce that. It looks fine for me (as long as you don't use the wallpaper plugin ;) ).

Looks nice, could I request a heart which gets faster and slower depending on the load average?
I tried it with a skydome (just gradient) and that is not rendered correctly. I notice you also have 2 small cubes rather than one big cube. Can you explain that?
EDIT: I do not get the rendering flickering if I set my outputs as described here. The skydome gets rendered on the back face all distorted out.

Still no background though :(

If both monitors have the same resolution you will get 2 cubes. But each cube has then 2 * s->hsize faces. My images it with hsize = 2.
We hope we will be able also to get "one big" cube with correct perspective (like beryl had) in the future.
